about
Sadly, ACAB is an international thing. But in Ukraine, they're almost untouchable, thanks to corruption and our "powerful" minister of internal affairs who granted it. I wrote this track after two cops raped a woman in the police department (you're not misreading it, it happened). I publish it now when cops are breaking doors of nightclubs in Kyiv, even without a party going inside. No documents have been shown, no reasons have been maned. They just trying to keep the community scared. I feel like we're back in 2013, and it's been six years of a groundhog. Oh shit, here we go again.
This collage I used for the cover art was made as a poster for a protest by musician Illia Kovalenko. The saxophone was performed and recorded by Mykola Lebed.
Samples: recorded TV news, recorded people chanting during protests.
lyrics
То кому дзвонити, коли вбиває поліція?
Твоє мовчання – їх золото.
То кому дзвонити, коли ґвалтує поліція?
Твоє мовчання – їх.
Who shall we call when the police are killing?
Your silence makes their gold.
Who shall we call when the police are raping?
Your silence belongs to them.
